Rhino Encounter

Let’s Get Ready to Rhino!

Get up close and personal with our chubby unicorn, Tank!

Join our keepers behind the scenes, on exhibit, at The Preserve for an interactive, educational experience with our largest resident of the parks! 

The encounter will occur at our private encounter space on exhibit, and will start with calling over our lumbering giant!  Within feet of our big guy, keepers will educate on the anatomy, adaptations, difference between rhino species and their conservation needs.

During the informative session, Tank and guests will participate in training exercises, offer a treat, get some amazing photos and end with providing Tank his beloved back and body scratches – in a safe and appropriate manner! To be safe and follow regulations, there will not be direct petting by hand!

When purchasing, you are buying a (1) person slot in the group of (6) participants.
This is not a private encounter, it is YOU and (5) other paid guests.

** Once your order is purchased, you will receive a confirmation email/receipt from our online store team. Please present on your phone or bring printed receipt/confirmation with you to present to our PRESERVE GIFT SHOP TEAM for check-in on the day of your encounter.

-- Your admission to The Preserve is included with your encounter purchase, for all paid guests participating in the encounter.  Arrive to our gift shop 15 mins prior to encounter start.  If wishing to experience The Preserve prior to your encounter – allow 90 minutes to do so – or enjoy after your encounter with your provided entry voucher!

- Participants must be at least 8 years of age to participate.

- Participants under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult, supervising adult counts as a participant and requires purchase.

- Encounter will last approx. 30 minutes

- Encounters are rain or shine, done under cover, dress appropriately!  In the event of extreme conditions, we will move the rhino encounter indoors.

– Waivers to be read & signed with your keeper, prior to encounter start!
Minors require consenting guardian to sign on their behalf.

** Please note that there are no refunds or rescheduling of encounters for any reason **
** Encounter reservations are transferable to another party with notification to the park **
